This week I learned a few important and valuable lessons. First, mold is a hoax, the same with asbestos. Just big scams caused by lawyers suing companies and then contractors using them as scare tactics to rip off homeowners and business owners for lots of money. Second, stomach ulcers are incredibly painful.
Both lessons were very important for me to learn. I am grateful for my body causing me to curl up in a ball and sob shortly after eating ANYTHING. I know that sounds crazy but my body was telling me a lot of information and I listened. Caffeine, gone; sugar, over with; red meat or meat period, no more; dairy, my beloved old friend, who turned enemy, I must say goodbye.
So seeing as I was curled up in a ball many late nights and afternoons this past week, I’ve been a little out of the loop. But today I stocked up on all that I missed and boy what a great stock it is.
Let’s get down to it while I’m still feeling good.
Last year Systema Solar dropped their 7″ on Galletas Calientes Records. Now they have a special release of it for North America. All DJ’s need this record for their sets, so get it today. Below are the tracks for you to sample.
Next we head over to Paris to hear the latest from Pedrolito with his “Dale Amor A La Cumbia…” mixtape.

Here is a great new fresh one for you from La Epidemia De La Cumbia with a lovely remix of “Abre Abre.”
Just as fresh we also have a new track from Loquera Tradicion with a wild Cumbia-Step jam.
Cumbia mashed with Dancehall is a marriage made in heaven. Fuzzy Fotch makes their debut on FFC with a Vybz Cartel edit.
Yeah yeah yeah, Tribilin Sound is dope, we all know this. That’s why I keep posting his tracks here on FFC, they’re too good to dismiss. Check it out!
I’m a big Intiche fan. I love his live Ableton sets and his choices of sounds he uses in his original music. He’s still very underrated but in no time he’s promising to be huge. Folcore hooked up with him for his new album release. It’s called “Nawell,” featuring his brilliant track “Kota.”
Download this as soon as you can. You won’t regret it.
Another release through Folcore is Qechuaboi’s new EP with a the long title, “Eqivócate, confúndete pero nunca te huevees!”
Folcore first turned me onto Qechuaboi a couple years or so back. I am eternally grateful for it too.
I came across this mixtape earlier today. I don’t recognize several of the songs because a lot of them come from Brazil. I still was pleasantly surprised with this collection of excellent tracks thanks to Pequi.

I’ve been enjoying a lot of the tracks I’ve posted here on FFC from ExtaMachine Mx this last year. Here is something very sweet from him. It’s an eclectic little EP featuring Cumbia, Trap and Moombahton sounds.
Here is more of ExtaMachine Mx. It’s a very cool remix of Henry Henry’s “Decimas Del 76.” He takes it farther into the Cumbia Digital realm.
Speaking of Henry Henry, check out this dope new remix of “Causando Terror” by him.
It’s good to hear some new stuff from Kuto Quilla Selektah. He dropped this off a day or so ago. It’s a nice little intense House Of Pain remix.
Another good artist to hear something new from is FeroZMonas. All last year I was sharing a lot of his mind funking Cumbia tracks. To add to my collection he provides this excellent little gift.
After last month’s album, Arturo Herrera DJ kept busy. He dropped this nice Cumbia Hip Hop remix a few days back.
I remember spelling out this name last year. It was a bizarre one then and still is now. But the mix is still great. The name is 50003zgz, and he dropped this awesome Nu Folklore of Argentina mixtape a couple days ago. It’s well worth your time trust me.

Mashup Mexico takes on Club De Baile CD’M with a track inspired by an old movie I’m not familiar with, yet. But I can say thanks to these guys, I’m intrigued. Check it out.
Cholofonix takes on a classic most Cumbieros know by heart, “Soledad.” This refix hits pretty hard so turn the volume up for full effect.
I must say this was a very lovely surprise from the creative minds of Arun Y La Cumbia (a favorite of mine) and Daniel Klauser. It’s very spacey and beautiful.
A Damo Naimad live set? Sure I’ll take it! It’s a very cool pleasure to hear a set by one of my favorite underground artists.
A new Facebook group was launched earlier this week. It is a Dallas based Cumbia music group started by Erick Jaimez. Dallas is an interesting city. It is home to the George W. Bush Library. Yeah we all laughed when we first heard about it. I expect many in Dallas laughed too. The city has a pretty cool downtown, the buildings light up well at night making a nice visual spectacle. I just hope their freeway is finally repaired, it’s not fun driving in the pouring rain in one backed up lane.
From what I’ve heard Dallas was and is home to a neat underground 3ball scene. But Cumbia lives there too and Erick Jaimez proves it with his awesome new EP “Dallas Cumbiaholic 2.” Check it out now and throw him the four dollars to download it. It’s money well spent because what you get is well worth the low price. Let’s help each other out!
Now for an announcement. February 10th 2014 we will see the release finally of DJ Negro Dub’s EP he released here with us on TGBE last year. Finally you will be able to download the tracks via our wonderful digital record label distributor Boom One Records.
I will remind everyone on the 10th but for now here is a refresher from the official release last year on TGBE.
Well my friends I am feeling better and have learned valuable lessons I shall never forget. I push forward but I push forward with all of you. Thanks for stopping by. See you next week!
Peace
