As promised or rather mentioned before, Atropolis has finally released the much anticipated music video from the “Transitions” album, featuring Lido Pimienta.
“Reza Por Mi” is the title of the track featuring one of my favorite vocalists Lido Pimienta. Everyone in the Tropical Bass scene wants to work with Lido and for good reason. She has an amazing voice that captures the perfect vibe desired by the producer and fans of. This track has a playful Champeta feel to it and it is very catchy, I honestly have it playing in my head right now. “Catchy” may sound like a small simple word but it carries with it a profound meaning. “Catchy” is what separates mediocrity from excellence, it’s what separates middling so-so from successful. And “catchy” is what most attain for but often don’t understand why their music doesn’t last or make a serious impact. I know this first-hand as someone who has struggled with lack of success.
This song is “catchy” indeed, I know it is due to a simple test, when I think of it, it starts to play in my head. This test works well with other songs too. I use it often. And it is something I refer to often when in discussion over why one artist is more successful than an another artist as well as when discussing the modern Indie music scene.
Therefor this song is good, it is enjoyable, it is simple (in a good way) and it will be played and listened to by many for a long time. This I am almost certain of.
