I was keeping my eyes and ears open this week for more tracks that could be used for Halloween parties and Dia De Los Muertos events this weekend. I came across a few goodies that differ greatly from each other. Though not all are available for downloading, I’m sure if we ask nicely though, we can get them all.
This is the time of year where I feel the most alive. Celebrating death and gloom by way of mockery gives me a much better perspective on life. Mortality isn’t so scary after all.
Some of these are Halloween themed while others are just festive good songs for the parties this weekend. I didn’t focus on just dark music, because then this post would be massive but also I was looking for party music.
First off is Arturo Herrera DJ’s new album Cumbia Moombah. Remember a few years ago when we were calling it “Cumbiahton?” Yep so do I. I even produced a few myself.
Well this album is like a trip back in time to three years or so ago, though still quite relevant today. These tracks will go great with any Tropical Bass set.
Real Cumbia Activa dropped off this dope track a few weeks back. DJ Tranzo here in Phoenix tonight just played it in his set at an art gallery in a hotel. It was received very well and sounded awesome in his mix.
dj siMmB dropped this fun little Cumbia track off on The Global Bass Experience’s Facebook page. It has the perfect vibe for an eerie Halloween or Dia De Los Muertos set.
I found this next one particularly interesting. It kept me guessing throughout as it is quite unpredictable. Lesglobeค้Lesglobass (try saying that name) dropped it off earlier this week also on the TGBE Facebook page. It is a dark and interesting track indeed.
DJ Akshen is a local Phoenix and Los Angeles legend. He truly is a master DJ and is very entertaining to watch when he performs his sets.
This mix could only come from the mind and skills of DJ Akshen! It is clean, play it for the kids.
Lucas Posada’s Dia De Los Muertos mix is very upbeat. These aren’t spooky but they are fun tracks. Make this a part of your party’s soundtrack.
This brilliant sensory over load is brought to us by the chaotic Bigote. Only his mind could come up with this.
This track was featured on Cassette Blog’s 4th anniversary compilation.
