To say Tiger’s Milk Records worked hard on getting this awesome new compilation together would be an understatement. Peru Marvavilloso harkens back to the 60’s and 70’s when Peruvian labels Lempsa, Sono Radio, FTA and Infopesa produced and promoted the bands on here. Not only is Cumbia, Chicha and more traditional Andean music found on here but also Latin-Jazz and Psychedelic Rock are largely represented in the collection.
On November, 12th this release featuring vintage cuts came out and was celebrated in Lima. And anyone who knows me knows that I have a severe soft spot for Peruvian music. This release can’t be missed and it’s affordable. Much respect goes out to Tiger’s Milk Records for compiling this collection and making it all happen. Good job guys! Especially Duncan Ballantyne, Martin Morales and Andres Tapia.
This was a free download, I’m sure if you ask nicely…
