The Global Bass Experience is slowly coming out of a long hibernation. In the next few weeks there are going to be some very special releases to bring TGBE back into your life. I’ve made some changes concerning how I produce music, how I perform music, how I write and what we will write about here on the blog.
Moombahdeep Volume 4 is on its way but first there will be remixes from the compilation as well as single. The single will be released this Thursday. I personally and honestly believe it is the best Moombahdeep volume to exist. We have been working long and hard on all aspects of the release and a lot of the reason is because it is going to be that good. Good things often take a lot of time to come to fruition.
Also there will be an annual Halloween/Dia De Los Muertos album coming along very soon. Promos will start appearing within the next few weeks.
We’re also going back on the radio very soon. We will stream again on Mixcloud as well as locally in Arizona on FM radio this autumn. Check out our extensive work on Mixcloud already including past TGBE Radio episodes, our Beat Connection series and mixes here: http://www.mixcloud.com/TheGlobalBassExperience/.
The Global Bass Experience is changing slightly to be more selective of the quality of music we review and produce. In the vast Internet sea of music one can get lost and overwhelmed. We want to make it easier for you by selecting only the best of every genre. We’re redefining “Global Bass” to mean music from around the world regardless of genre or style. Our choices may not be everyone’s favorite but one can be reassured that it it’s featured or covered here on TGBE then we believe it to be of excellent quality.
Before we relaunch our new season of blogging and music releases I want to clear out a vault of music of mine. These days I’ve been spending most of my time performing live in various bands and music performances with much joy and satisfaction. I haven’t had much time to produce new music under my name El Gúero Único, and producing my Cumbia has almost come to a complete halt, though there still is Cumbia inside of me. I understand that I have been rather quiet lately and no one has heard much new to come from me lately. This will change very soon.
I have been working on my first official solo record for over three years now and it is about ready to be released into the world. Though that will have to be later this year. Tonight however I have this vault of tracks I want to share with you. I didn’t know what to do with them, some actually have been heard before but most are new. They are improvisations, song ideas, musings, experimentations with effects and newly acquired equipment. Most of the songs are very long. They contain a lot of ambiance. One could look at it as though one is looking into my mind without my being aware of one’s presence. They had no home so I gave them one. I hope you get something good out of these songs. If anything just let them play in the background while you live.
