Our Tropical edition of tonight begins with a tribute to the “Grupo Niche” founder Jairo Varela. Salsa from Cali in Colombia, this year marks the first anniversary of the death of the great master who dared to give the name “Creole” to a style born in New York and was strongly listened to in Colombia. We will listen to two emblematic songs of the group: ‘Cielo de tambores’ y ‘Hagamos lo que diga el corazón’.
In the next section we will be traveling again to watch new productions that are circulating on the worldwide musical spectrum. We will listen to Geko Jones, peruvians of “La Inédita”, Andres Digital with his song “Cerveja”, Colombian groups ‘Prohibido el paso’ and ‘Sonido Libre Colectivo’, also “Cumbia Drive”, “Afro Kumbe” and some of the Argentina bands “Pimenton” and “La Cumbia Grande”.
And to end this super tropical night, “Spanish Super Combo” plays a 100% vinyl sound, with forty minutes of Calypso, Cumbia, Bomba and Plena to take away your sorrow, this mixtape is called “Super Tropical Mix – Cosa vieja, cosa Buena” (OLD THING, GOOD THING)
