This album right here seems very fitting for The Global Bass Experience to cover. We plan on bringing some really in depth highly intelligent reviews, lessons and music from around the world. Soon we will have a series diving deep into dub history. If I were you I would most definitely keep an eye out for that.
“Eclipse” by Elements Of Life is a jazz-soul-Afrobeat-Latin-experimental global music extravaganza. It’s a 2 disc release coming this March, 19th 2013 from Fania Records, to be on vinyl, cd and for digital download. I have listened to the whole album and must say it stays true to my hype (but of course I would say that). When we talk about instrumental expertise the sounds produced by the talented musicians on Eclipse would make a perfect example. It’s upbeat and always with a coherent and strong social message. Elements Of Life is a live orchestral project led by the legendary Hector Lavoe’s nephew Louie Vega.
41/2 years in the making Eclipse is a huge feat of expert production and deserves a very serious listen. I have below a single from the new album called “Children Of The World.” It gives one a good idea what can be found with the other tracks on the album, or at least the vibe, because the songs are still considerably diverse.
You should expect to hear more coming very soon. Especially if you come back here tomorrow where you can find the link to the album.
